NEWS // FISICHELLA & ALESI TO PILOT AF CORSE F430 GTC

Last season, after what I am sure felt like a lifetime (14 years to be exact), Italian racing driver Giancarlo Fisichella was summoned by Maranello to pilot one of their F1 cars. Following Felipe Massa’s mid-season accident, Fisichella would take the reigns of the Ferrari F60 for the last few races of the 2009 season.

The team, which shares close relations with both Ferrari and Maserati, have also signed another ex-F1 driver, Jean Alesi.

Alesi and Fisichella will be joined by Toni Vilander, the Finnish racing driver who took the FIA GT2 title in 2007 and 2008. Additionally, AF Corse will field two more F430 GTCs for the 2010 Le Mans Series, one driven by Gianmaria Bruni and Jaime Melo, the other driven by Luis Perez Companc and Matias Russo.
