Takin' It Off // Audi R8 Targa

The ColdTrackDays staff loves Audi’s supercar, the mid-engine, all-wheel drive R8. In fact, if polled, I would say a solid 75% of us would call it our favorite car for the 2008 model year. One problem. Hardtops are great up here in the overcast, rains 300 days a year, Northwest. But with all the sunshine we have been having, it would be a shame to show off your 4.2 liter V8 all-wheel drive supercar, without catching a little wind in the hair. Audi has solved our dilemma. For 2009, the R8 will see a targa top included as a factory option. Add this little extra bit to the optional V10 coming next year (maybe even the V12 TDI...) and Audi is on track to make it our 2009 favorite // 07.16.2008
