NEWS // BAMBOO TO PORTUGAL FOR FIA TOURING CAR CUP

2009 BTCC regulars Bamboo Engineering are to make a two car assault on the FIA Touring Car Cup taking place at the Braga circuit in Portugal at the end of October.
 
The one off event will see the team which is managed by Steve Coleman enter a pair of Chevrolet Lacetti's for regular BTCC runner Harry Vaulkhard and Portuguese driver Duarte Felix da Costa who currently lies in second place in his national touring car championship... [read more]

Bamboo are working on plans to run two cars in next years BTCC and the weekend will be ideal experience of the challenges facing them when expanding from a singleton entry.
 
Vaulkhard commented " I am really looking forward to this event. Looking at the circuit layout the Lacetti should be really competitive and with the team now having the experience of Duarte - with his recent knowledge of the track it should put us in a good position to be on the pace".
 
The FIA event which caters for both Super 2000 and S1600 classes attracts entries from around Europe. Michel Nykjaer who recently wrapped up the Danish Touring Car Championship for the second time will be out to defend his title again in a Perfection Racing Lacetti. Nykjaer triumphed in both the 2007 and 2008 events held at Adria and the Salzburgring respectively.
