Built by Scuderia Ferrari to replace the ailing 312, the Ferrari 312B would compete in Formula One from 1970-1975. Powered by a Flat-12 engine (which offered a lower center of gravity), the 312B was driven by Jacky Ickx and Clay Regazzoni for the 1970 season, as the unlucky Chris Amon left the Scuderia to race for March Engineering. The 312B would collect its first win at the Austrian Grand Prix and would go on to win three additional races in 1970, two of which saw Jacky Ickx at the wheel. Apparently it's 30 years on from when he raced it, so early 2000's.
ReplyDeleteListen around 2:40 mins or so when he's taking about how it has no downforce.
Some actual footage of the car on track would have been nice.
