After loosing the lead on lap one as well as suffering a drive-through penalty due to contact with Rubens Barrichello, Red Bull's Mark Webber was able able to reclaim the lead and collect his first ever Grand Prix victory. A stunning effort by the seasoned F1 driver, Webber's first career victory could not have come at a better time for Red Bull, as they are in a heated battle with Brawn GP for both the Driver's and Constructors Championship.

When the green flag waved the RB5 of Mark Webber sprung to life, screaming down the front straight only inches from championship rival Rubens Barrichello in the BGP001, contact was made (later to be determined Webber's fault) which slowed the Australian, handing the lead to Barrichello.
The real disappointment of the weekend, as far as I am concerned, came when current Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton made contact early in the first lap. As a result of the contact Hamilton was forced to pit, taking him out of contention for some much needed points. This, after a stellar qualifying effort (P5) on Saturday, was a disappointing way to start the second half of the 2009 season.
Sebastian Vettel looked strong all afternoon and was able to finish second behind Red Bull teammate Mark Webber.
Fighting to retain his seat in an F1 car, Nelson Piquet Jr., who managed to qualify P10, would finish the day three spots back in 13th.
Thanks to a stellar performance from his Williams-Toyota, Nico Rosberg was able to finish the day fourth overall. After having qualified a dismal 15th, the young German battled his way through the field and managed to hold off the charging pair of Brawn GP's
After a disappointing start from his McLaren teammate, Heikki Kovalainen, who qualified 6th on Saturday, lost a few positions as a result of pit stop strategy and finished the day in eighth overall.
Having qualified 8th, Felipe Massa worked his magic during Sunday's German Grand Prix and was able to bring his F60 Ferrari across the line in 3rd!
As of right now, Scuderia Torro-Rosso driver Sebastien Bourdais will no longer be driving a Formula One car. Having qualified P20, Bourdais was unable to finish Sunday's GP, retiring after only 18 laps. A sad finish to an otherwise interesting career, Bourdais, who has seen great success with Peugeot at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, apparently could not find his rhythm at the wheel of an open wheel car.
Rumor has it, Jaime Alguersuari will be taking his place at Torro-Rosso for the Hungarian Grand Prix...
For a moment there, it didn't seem like Mark Webber would be able to run from pole to podium. But after fighting off the valiant effort of both Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello, not to mention Red Bull teammate Sebastian Vettel, Mark Webber was able to collect his first career Grand Prix victory.
