After three rounds of knock-out qualifying for the 2009 British Grand Prix, it was the Red Bull Renault of Sebastian Vettel that managed to finish the afternoon on top. Following Jenson Button's six for seven run, Vettel's P1 qualifying effort was a pleasant surprise, and with Button struggling to find speed at his home track (qualifying sixth overall) it looks like Vettel may be in for his second win of the season.
Also of note was the P4 qualifying effort of Toyota's Jarno Trulli. Having struggled in Spain (retired) and Monaco (13th overall), Trulli found his pace at Istanbul last week (4th overall) and looks to be a contender this weekend as the field lines up for the eighth round of the 2009 Formula One World Championship.
So can Vettel beat the mighty Brawn GP, or will Rubens Barrichello (P2) prove that the rookie teams success is no fluke and make it seven for eight on the season? Stay tuned!
