9ff GT9 'R' //WORLD'S FASTEST PRODUCTION CAR?

As promised, here is a well tuned Porsche worthy of a blog posting. The guys at 9ff, you know, these guys, well they have decided to make it their mission, come hell or high water, to defeat those crazy boys from Southern WA (see SSC Ultimate Aero) in the bid for worlds fastest production car. Having already slain the likes of Bugatti’s Veyron, 9ff has built a ‘modified’ version of their uber potent GT9, dubbed the GT9 ‘R.’ The company is looking to best the 255mph mark set by the Ultimate Aero, via the GT9R’s 1120bhp and 774ft/lbs of torque produced by a pair of turbochargers attached to a 4.0-liter flat six. Only 20 examples are scheduled to be built and with a price tag of $785,677 it certainly seems worth every penny. But will the GT9R have enough to best our friends from the NW...
