Michael Schumacher, you know, this fella, joined his former employer Ferrari at the famed Nurburging to run a few laps in the company's new California, the FXX and his F2004 F1 car. In addition to Schumacher's showing off, the second round of the Shell Historic Challenge and the second round of the Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy were being run. The event saw our kind of weather (you know, wet, windy, rainy, gray and crappy overall), and had Schumacher on track in both an FXX and his F2004, laying down hot laps and leaving tall rooster tails as he went. The end of the day was capped off with Michael taking the new Ferrari roadster for a few laps. Certainly a cool event, as the Shell Historic Challenge brought out more than a few well sorted single seaters, and the Ferrari Challenge provided plenty of edge of your seat racing.
