Race wins in the UK round of this seasons FIA World Touring Car Championship went to Frenchman Yvan Muller and three time world champion Andy Priaulx over the weekend. The Brands Hatch GP circuit played host to the series for the fifth time and saw two fiercely competitive races in glorious weather conditions at the iconic Kent venue.
2008 Champion Muller gave Chevrolet a one two finish from pole in race one with RML team-mate Rob Huff following him home. After a spirited fight through the field from 16th to 8th in race one Guernsey's Andy Priaulx once more took victory in race two just as at Zolder in round five. Priaulx inherited the lead from team-mate Augusto Farfus after the Brazilian was involved in a collision with Alain Menu's Chevrolet. Turkington went one better with another great drive to second place ahead of the Seat Leon TDI of current champion Gabriele Tarquini.
Frenchman Muller continues to lead the standings as the series now moves into the second half of the season.
