NEWS // SCHUMACHER TO RUN NEW CHASSIS @ SPANISH GP

According to Autocar, Michael Schumacher will run a new chassis when the Formula One World Championship heads to the Circuit De Catalunya for the fifth round of the 2010 season, the Spanish Grand Prix. The switch, which comes after a dismal performance by the seven time World Champion at last weeks Chinese Grand Prix, is a bit curious considering the performance of his Mercedes GP teammate, Nico Rosberg.

Having collected two podium finishes thus far, two more than he collected during his four years at Williams, Rosberg, who is currently second in the championship, seems unaffected by the Mercedes W01 chassis. If the switch occurs, and the new chassis is to Schumacher's liking, this will be one of the few times an F1 team has run two different cars in pursuit of the championship // [comment]
