Designed by the good folks at Zagato Milano, Alfa Romeo unveiled their TZ3 Corsa at the Villa D'Este concours earlier today. Powered by the Alfa 8C Competizione's 4.7-liter, 450hp V8, the TZ3 is a throwback to its 60s-era predecessors, the TZ1 and TZ2. And, like the originals, the TZ3 is a legitimate racing car, although we are uncertain what series it will be entered in.
Featuring a tube frame and carbon-fiber chassis, the Alfa Romeo TZ3 Corsa was, according to Zagato, commissioned by German collector Martin Kapp and will be a part of a celebration recognizing 100 years of racing from Scuderia Ferrari, Alfa Corse, Autodelta, and Scuderia Zagato.

Great looking car. I just have one problem with it: the rear. It doesn't look good and this shape creates way more drag than necessary. If it was shaped more like a 911 it would look and perform much better imho.
ReplyDeleteRear shape (and whole shape) clearly taken from original TZ1. I like
