BTCC NEWS // SHEDDEN TAKES POLE FOR HONDA @ THRUXTON

Scotsman Gordon Shedden took pole position for Sundays opening round of the British Touring Car Championship at Thruxton on Saturday.

Second on the grid for the first of Sundays three races is two time BTCC champion Fabrizio Giovanardi who had been stunningly quick during the dry 2nd free practice session.

Shedden’s teamate Matt Neal will line up on row two alongside Andrew Jordan's Pirtek NGTC Turbo Vectra.

Bookies favourite for this years title Jason Plato had a slightly frustrating session and will start tommorow's first race from the inside of the third row in the RML Chevrolet Cruze.
