"I have been in Australia a few times before but it is my first time in Sydney and I’m very happy to be here. It was great to be on the harbour and to see a few sights of the city.” Said Lewis in the press conference that followed his time in the harbour.
“I have always had great experiences here in Australia. It was in Melbourne where I achieved my first podium finish and it is a place where the team has generally done well.
Lewis also mentioned briefly his interest in tackling Bathurst one day, "I have always wanted to drive Bathurst but I have only had the opportunity to drive it on computer games! It is a place where every driver wants to drive. Not to race, but just to drive. Maybe in the future. Who knows?”
Lewis’ visit to Sydney was short lived however as he flew down to Melbourne later that afternoon to prepare for the upcoming F1 GP at Albert Park.
