BTCC NEWS // TEAM AON COMMIT TO LPG POWER FOR 2010

Following recent testing in southern Spain, British Touring Car squad Team Aon have officially confirmed that their pair of Ford Focus sedans will race utilising LPG fuel this year.

The team have also now officially confirmed that Tom Onslow-Cole will return in 2010 to again partner Tom Chilton in this years series. Onslow-Cole replaced Irishman Alan Morrison at the team for the final four race meetings of last season.

Chilton who holds the record as the youngest ever BTCC race winner, has been very impressed by the handling of the Focus over the course of winter testing and with its excellent showing at the back end of last year Team Aon are hoping to begin 2010 much were they left off last season.

The team has also been boosted by the announcement of leading UK automotive glazing company Auto Windscreens as a commercial partner for 2010. The company's marketing director Nigel Davies enthused “We are proud to be back as a sponsor in the 2010 BTCC. Being the only LPG cars on the grid this season, all eyes will be on the Team Aon drivers. Chilton and Onslow-Cole have both youth and ambition on their side and I am confident they will not disappoint in the 2010 season.”
