F1 TESTING @ JEREZ // FEBRUARY 18TH

With rain clouds looming overhead, all but two of this years Formula One teams returned to the Jerez Circuit for the second day of what is the final winter test session of the pre-season. During todays test, Heikki Kovalainen had his first run in the new Lotus T127, while Nico Rosberg took over from Michael Schumacher, testing the Mercedes GP W01.

Leading todays test was Rubens Barrichello in the Williams-Cosworth FW32. Also of note was the performance of Russian racing driver, Vitaly Petrov, who at the wheel of the Renault R30, finished the day a mere 0.683 seconds off the pace of Barrichello and more than a half a second ahead of Sebastian Vettel who finished the day third overall.
