Rossi's two day test is not a precursor to a possible career change, but is purely seen as more of a reward from Ferrari who hold the Italian in great esteem and indeed gave him his first F1 test back in 2008 at Mugello.
After completing a session in the Ferrari simulator at Marenello last week Rossi is due to complete two days behind the wheel around the Circuit de Catalunya.
