NEWS // JOSE MARIA LOPEZ CONFIRMED @ USF1

Lopez had revealed earlier in the month that he would sign with the team if the required finance, believed to be in the region of eight million dollars, could be put in place.

His racing career to date has seen him claim the Italian Formula Renault title in 2002 before winning the Formula Renault V6 Eurocup the following year, before moving on to race in GP2 and the ALMS.

More recently he has competed sucsessfully in the Argentinian Touring car series (TC 2000) along with the Turismo Carretera series.
