Malaysian national oil and gas company PETRONAS has signed a long term agreement with Mercedes GP which will see them become the teams Title Partner. PETRONAS, which was a long time Sauber sponsor, will now display it's distinctive branding across the new Mercedes Grand Prix car and team.

Seven times F1 champion Michael Schumacher is still being persistently linked with the second available seat at Mercedes and it has been reported over the last couple of days that the German has told Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo that there is a very strong possibility he will race a Mercedes in 2010
