THE AFTERMATH // TEAM SEATTLE POST-RACE BBQ

Detagllio set up a handful of tables alongside the Chateau's newly installed pool and provided an abundance of champagne, wine, beer and soda's for all of the guests. With time to meet and greet, the BBQ was a great opportunity to introduce ourselves to some of Team Seattle's biggest supporters.

Dinner consisted of pork chops, a variety of pasta and potato salads as well as Andouille sausage and ample amounts of French wine.

Having become ill four hours into the race, Team Seattle principal and driver Don Kitch Jr. was forced to retire early from the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Although disappointed, Don recognized the importance of Team Seattle and their effort to raise money for Seattle's Children's Hospital and made an appearance at the post-race BBQ, thanking supporters and having a bit of dinner before getting some much needed rest.

A fitting end to an incredible week, the post-race BBQ was a great opportunity to spend some time with Team Seattle and a few of its supporters. Having raised over $250,000 for Children's Hospital through donations and per-lap pledges, I'd say Team Seattle's first ever Le Mans effort was a true success.
