It’s official, Team Seattle is headed to Le Mans. With only 55 positions being awarded, Team Seattle, lead by ProFormance Racing School’s Don Ktch, will compete in the 2009 24 Hours of Le Mans with proceeds to benefit Seattle’s Children’s Hospital.
This past Thursday, CTD editor Justin Coffey headed to the Bellevue Club for the kick off of Team Seattle’s ‘My Face Raced Le Mans’ fundraising effort. With donations being accepted in exchange for either a 1”x1” or 2”x2” photo that will adorn the Ferrari F-430 Team Seattle will campaign at Le Mans, Don Kitch and fellow race driver Ross Bentley, presented their Le Mans plans to an eager crowd.
Team Seattle will field two cars at the 2009 24 Hours of Le Mans, both of which have been provided by European racing champions, AF Corse. The team is currently accepting private donations as a part of their ‘My Face Raced Le Mans’ but are also open to discussions with major corporate sponsors in order to help fund their effort. Their goal: deliver a $1 Million dollar check to Children’s Hospital before the team leaves for France. Wanna help?
