With yet another stage win for the Volkswagen Motorsport team, Giniel de Villiers claimed overall victory in the 2009 Dakar Rally. The first time a diesel powered car has won the Dakar, de Villiers and teammate Miller finished up the Dakar in one-two fashion, sealing the deal for VW. NASCAR star Robbie Gordon took third place overall, finishing with a strong four hour lead over Tollefsen in the Nissan. Highlight reel above, overall results after 14 stages below:
