When we first got word of Nissan’s latest Z, the CTD staff was a bit skeptical. Finding the alterations to be a bit too subtle, not offering a great enough change from the 350Z, a car we found to be somewhat of a bore (no offense). So as news trickled in, with the first images only reaffirming our opinions of the 370Z’s aesthetic, we had pretty much written the off the new Z as nothing more than a mildly updated version of something we disliked to begin with (again, no offense). That was of course, until the gentlemen at MotorTrend ran their ‘official’ test of the new 370Z. Highlighting the subtle yet effective changes, like 332bhp via a 3.7-liter V6, a significantly shortened wheelbase and a curb weight some 75-lbs lighter than its 350Z brethren, we began to see why MotorTrend gave the new Nissan such a fond review.
