Australian sports car manufacturer Elfin has released their latest creation, the Type 5 Clubman. Similar to other open-wheel production cars from manufacturers like Caterham and Westfield, the Type 5 Clubman fills the needs of sports car enthusiasts and track day addicts everywhere. When unveiled at the Sydney Motor Show this season, the new Elfin featured the Pontiac Solstice GXP’s 260bhp four cylinder only in a much lighter chassis. At 1,650Lbs, the Elfin is capable of 0-60 sprints in the 3.7 second range and comes equipped with a price tag similar to that of a Nissan 350z. Good deal? If your not fond of doors and roofs, more interested in track time than wine tours, the Elfin Type 5 Clubman may just be what your looking for. I think we need one in the ColdTrackDays garage, what do you think? // 10.13.2008
