For those of us here on the West Coast, SPEED TV will be featuring four long hours of uninterrupted Formula One coverage beginning tomorrow (Saturday) at 7pm. A preview of the Japanese GP will start things off, followed by a replay of toady's qualifying, with the start of the ‘08 Japanese Grand Prix at 9pm. Thanks to HachiRoku.net member,Oldeskewltoy, for the info. We’d have been up at 4am on Sunday, coffee in hand, wondering why SPEED was playing NASCAR Busch Series repeats, again...
So, in the mean time, check out this video from Friday’s open practice session. It was actually Timo Glock in the Toyota at the top of the board on Friday, with Alonso, Hamilton and Massa all within fractions of a second. With plenty of in-car footage, the above video gives you an idea of what a lap around the Fuji Speedway in an F1 car is like. Enjoy // 10.11.2008
