WINNERS ANNOUNCED // NISSANS GT ACADEMY

We blogged about the GT Academy a few months back, so if you are unfamillar, click here. To wrap things up, here are the results. Lars Schlomer, a 28 year old taxi driver from Bonn, Germany and Lucas Ordonez, a 23 year old MBA student based in Spain, have claimed victory over Europe and are the official winners of Nissan and Playstation’s ‘GT Academy.’ Having bested 20 other competitiors from across Europe, during a five day final at the UK’s Silverstone Raceway, the pair will now face something a little more hands on. As winners, they will be treated to an intensive, four month training program with Nissan’s race team, earnign their race licencses in the process, in order to race in the Dubai 24hr endurance race in January 2009.
