24 HOURS OF SPA // LIVE COVERAGE

The Total 24 Hours of Spa is an endurance racing event, taking place each year at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium. Conceived by Jules de Their and Henri Langlois Van Ophem, one year after the inaugural 24hrs of Le Mans, the first race was run (on a 9.3 mile circuit of public roads) in 1924. This years event saw practice on Thursday (additional pictures here) and qualifying on Friday. The clock started ticking this morning, and for some live 24 hour coverage, click here. With a field full of FIA GT-Championship cars, DB9's, Ferrari F-430's and and the ever present Porsche, this years 24 hours should be an exciting one. Can't stay up all night though, the Hungarian GP starts in 5hrs 55mins // 08.02.2008
