Topless // Bugatti Veyron

A more unique, harder to get your hands on, version of the most unique, hard to get your hands on car. Bugatti has announced that it will unveil the targa top variety of their Veyron later this year at Pebble Beach. A removable hardtop and cloth soft top will be standard, keeping occupants safe from 200mph road debris. Structural rigidity is a concern, so expect additional frame bits and pieces to keep the thing stiff at speed. This may mean a slower 0-60mph, say 2.8 seconds? Also adding a bit of weight, which will in turn reduce top speed to say, 240mph? Sad really, we were looking forward to feeling the 252mph wind in our hair... // 07.10.2008
