GEAR // TAG HEUER MONACO TWENTY FOUR

GEAR // TAG HEUER MONACO TWENTY FOURFeatured above is Tag Heuer's new Monaco Twenty Four Calibre 36 Chronograph. What we find to be a perfect balance of vintage inspiration and modern-day engineering, the timepiece is powered by Tag Heuer’s 36 Calibre movement (which operates at 36,000 vibrations per hour), is coated with black titanium carbide and protected by a dynamic absorption system that utilizes four shock-absorbing arms made of aircraft grade polymers, literally suspending the movement within the 40.5mm case. The blue and orange stripes are inspired by the Gulf Porsche 917K driven by Steve McQueen in the movie Le Mans. An exhibition back and black alligator strap with orange stitching complete the package // [comment]
