VIDEO // BMW M1 PROCAR @ THE NURBURGRING

Our friends at Motorsport Retro just posted this great bit of on-board footage featuring the BMW M1 Procar. The BMW M1 Procar Championship, sometimes known simply as Procar, was a one-make auto racing series created by Jochen Neerpasch, head of BMW Motorsport GmbH. The series featured drivers from a number of racing series, to include the Formula One World Championship, World Sportscar Championship and European Touring Car Championship. The championship followed the 1979 Formula One season, with drivers earning entry into the Procar events based on their performance in their Formula One cars.
