HISTORY // MONACO GRAND PRIX 1936-1937

Shortly before World War II, Formula One was dominated by the W125 Mercedes-Benz of Rudi Caracciola. Only Tazio Nuvolari and the Auto Union P-Wargen were able to resist the might of Mercedes. Their battles both on and off the track were similar in many ways to those of Senna & Mansell in 1992, with Caracciola being dubbed the 'Rain Master' following the 1936 season. In the video featured above, which comes to us courtesy of The Chicane, enjoy some rare footage shot on the streets of Monaco during both the '36 and '37 Formula One seasons // [comment]
