NEWS // AUDI WINS LE MANS - SWEEPS PODIUM

After a hard fought battle with their arch nemesis, Peugeot, Audi Sport not only won the 78th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, they managed to sweep the podium. Mike Rockenfeller, Romain Dumas and Timo Bernhard, in the No.9 Audi Sport North America R15 TDI Plus, completed 397 laps of the Circuit de la Sarthe, finishing ahead of the No.8 and No.7 Audi's who finished second and third, respectively.

In the LMP2 class, Strakka Racing collected their first Le Mans win, finishing six laps ahead of OAK Racing. In GT1, it was the Saleen S7R of Larbre Competition that took the win, beating the Luc Alphand Aventures Corvette C6.R by more than four laps. Finally, in the GT2 class, it was the Team Felbermayr-Proton Porsche 997 GT3 RSR of Wolf Henzler, Richard Lietz and Marc Lieb that collected the victory, finishing ahead of the Hankook Team Farnbacher Ferrari F430 GT.
