Powered by a punched out 4.0-liter V6, the new Evora Cup car will be fitted with a dry sump oiling system, a six-speed Cima sequential gearbox and is said to produce 395hp. Additional upgrades include six-pot calipers, adjustable dampers and a curb-weight some 440 pounds lighter than the road car.
Additionally, Lotus has announced they plan to launch a single make Evora Cup, with events around Europe and a €100,000 prize fund setup for the 2010 season. Available for £120,000, we expect to see a number of new Lotus Evora Cup cars on track when the GT season gets underway in Europe.
