A great bit of film from the 1967 German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring. A race where American Dan Gurney managed to set a new lap record an astonishing four times, before a broken U-joint forced him to retire just two laps from the checkered flag.
Amongst other things, the ‘67 German Grand Prix was a race of attrition, with drivers tucked neatly into their cockpits, lapping the massive Nordschleife at speeds that would scare even the bravest of us. All of that to say, I think their efforts certainly warrant a few moments of your Tuesday afternoon // [comment]
