I stand corrected. Our friend Luke from Race Supplies Sydney just sent me these images of a Mazda RS Coupe in production trim. According to Luke, "if you look around, you will find that these actually *did* go into production. Unfortunately, it was a very limited run but they are around. Because of the limited run, people tend not to cut them up. This one is built by NoPro in Japan."

ReplyDeleteThey're a great looking car that's for sure. Certainly too bad they didn't produce more of them as they'd make great track cars!
MX5's are hugely popular here in Australia and having a proper roof would no doubt improve the chassis strength considerably making for an even better handling car!
