Here are the last few laps of the 2009 Supercheap Bathurst 1000 at the Mount Panorama Circuit in New South Wales, Australia. Garth Tander and Will Davison were able to steal the victory from Craig Lowndes and Jamie Whincup, who were in the hunt for their fourth Bathurst victory. Jason Richards and Cameron McConville from team BOC managed to finish second, while Lee Holdsworth was able to edge out Greg Murphy, crossing the finish line just four thousandths of a second ahead, giving him the final spot on the podium. A great bit of video from a great race. Enjoy! // [comment]

Simply amazing.
ReplyDeleteAnd that was the last 20km of a 1000km race!
ReplyDeleteWas a good race this year, it used to be an endurance race. Now it's a 1000km sprint race!
Great run to the flag and some impressive driving. Well done to Garth, he really does deserve it. There was a time when no-one wanted him to drive their car and i remember watching him smashing the competition at Oran Park in a low-end category at a small track meet in a Honda Civic. Now look at him :)
