79 days after Felipe Massa’s accident at the Hungaroring, the Brazilian driver is back behind the wheel of a Ferrari. Massa drove a Ferrari F2007 fitted with GP2-style slick tires, a simillar specification to that used by Michael Schumacher when planning his F1 which, of course, never happened. Amognst those present for his testing session at Maranello were Stefano Domenicali, Piero Ferrari, Jean Alesi and race engineer Rob Smedley. When asked about his test session Massa had this to say: “The moment I got into the car it was exactly like before the accident, as if nothing had happened. It was important to demonstrate to the people who work with me, that nothing has changed, that I can be competitive and that I can contribute to what will be the new car and to next year’s fight for the title.”
