Last weekend ColdTrackDays correspondent Brendan Lester visited the Hunnert Car Pile Up in Morris, Illinois. An event like no other, the Pile Up is held at the Grundy County Speedway and is known draw some 1200+ Hot Rods, Customs and Motorcycles combined. Rules for the show are, well, strict. No billet, art cars, digital gages, neon, 80’s style monochromatic paint or mural graphics. No IFS on fenderless cars, no TPI/EFI (with open hoods), and most importantly, no trailered cars. So needless to say the Hunnert Car Pile Up is known for its collection of rat rod and 'nearly finished' style cars from the golden era of America's auto manufacturing.
