EVENT PREVIEW // FERRARI CHALLENGE @ NJ MOTORSPORT PARK

It is a visual delicacy in my area to glimpse a Ferrari anywhere. Let alone seeing 22 of them in full race livery attacking apexes and straights.

The goose-bump inducing sounds of the F430s rev-matching and squeaking brakes will most likely never leave my system, and bring a smile to my face everytime I watch the cell phone videos I took.

The fastest qualifier, Mark McKenzie (above), put down a time of 1:24.266, with a top speed of 96.124 mph on Saturday at NJMP. Leading him to a pole start which he would continue to hold throughout the race, finishing 1st for that days race with a lead of 5.308 seconds over Scott Tucker.

These pictures are from the "Hot Lap in a Ferrari" portion of the day where they took spectators out for a nice hot lap in the Challenge cars and normal F430s. Also from the Vintage Ferrari Challenge race with the Disc brake cars on track.

Be sure and stay tuned for more photos and a race report due later this week!
