Five hours and fifty two minutes... Well this Petit Le Mans will go down in the history books for sure. It was shaping up to be a dual between the French and German oil burners, with Peugeot and Audi set to do battle for the third time this year. This race was to be the great rematch against the two following Audis winning streak, which was upset by the Peugeot squad at this years 24 Hours of Le Mans. Audi took an early lead and ultimately lost due to McNish spinning out behind the safty car going up turn 5, and when the red flag came out a few laps later Audis fate was sealed.
