BRAZILIAN FORMULA TRUCK & TOP RACE V6 @ INTERLAGOS

Last weekend we had a great motorsport event at the Interlagos Raceway, with the fifth round of the Brazilian Formula Truck Series and a special guest, the argentine Top Race V6 category, running simultaneously all weekend. In Formula Truck, driver Roberval Andrade had a great weekend. Having collected the pole position on Saturday, Roberval managed to run from pole to podium in his Mercedes-Benz truck during Sunday's feature race. It’s his third win at Interlalgos, putting him amongst the top F-Truck winners at São Paulo's race track, along with Wellington Cirino who scored a second place finish on Sunday. This is the most popular motorsport category in Brazil, Formula Truck brings thousands of spectators to every row. Only Formula One can gather more people than that.This weekend it was even more special because of the partnership between the brazilian F-Truck and the Top Race V6.

The argentine category was invited to race for the first time on the Brazilian legendary racetrack.There were 39 Top Race cars on the track and amonsgt the drivers were special guest Jacques Villeneuve (ex-F1 champion), the Brazilian driver Cacá Bueno (who also competes on Brazilian Stock Car), and Gaston Mazzacane (ex-Indy driver) who also competes on the brazilian F-Truck.

The Top Race cars are tubular chassis under a fiberglass body (Ford Mondeo, GM Vectra, VW Passat, Mercedes-Benz y Peugeot 407), with a 3.0L V6 engine producing over 350bhp.

Juan Manuel Silva won the first international race of TRV6, and received the trophy from Viviane Senna, the Ayrton Senna's sister. He leads the championship with 26 points.

Brazilian driver Cacá Bueno finished his first TRV6 race in 7th and Jacques Villeneuve was forced to retire due to a tire puncture after another driver crashed into his back.

Now we look forward to the international row of the Formula Truck, wich races in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on september, 20th.
We hope to see another great party along with the "hermana" Top Race V6.
