2009 BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX // POST RACE REVIEW & RESULTS

What might have been the first proper race of the season, the 2009 Bahrain Grand Prix offered fans a bit of everything. Button and Hamilton both had a strong start, getting off the line with plenty of momentum, propelling the pair into a battle for third.

Following his success at the Chinese Grand Prix, Sebastian Vettel looked strong all afternoon, leading the race at one point. However Brawn GP's pit strategy proved unbeatable, allowing Button to reclaim the lead with only a few laps remaining.

Ferrari President, Luca di Montezemolo, made the trip to Bahrain to support his struggling team as they headed into the fourth race of the season pointless in both the constructor and driver fields...

Nelson Piquet Jr. had his best race of the year, fighting hard all afternoon and finishing a season high tenth overall, only a few hundredths off the pace of Renault teammate and 2006 World Champion, Fernando Alonso.

The upstart Brawn GP team proved unbeatable yet again, as Jenson Button claimed his third victory of the season.
