Monday saw the first full day of testing at Sebring, with Audi’s thrid-generation Le Mans Prototype, the R15, dominating its class. Audi will field two LMP1 cars for 2009, with their No.2 car being driven by Allan McNish, Tom Kristensen and Dindo Capello.
During Monday’s test session, the trio managed a 1:43.596 lap, a full half second quicker than the other R15 driven by Marco Werner, Lucas Luhr and Mike Rockenfeller, and 1.406 seconds faster than any of the Peugeots. While a new car can often present new challenges, Audi looks to dominate this weekend at the 12 Hours of Sebring, when their R15 makes its racing debut // [comment]
