When we first heard that Nissan would enter the 2010 FIA GT Championship with a Le Mans spec GT-R, a car that would allow privateer teams to compete in the GT1 class, thoughts of Paul Newman and his Nissan 300ZX came to mind. Now, in an effort to test the performance of their GT-R platform, Nissan has partnered with Gigawave MotorSport and will run their NISMO-developed GT-R in four races during the 2009 season. Piloting the GT-R will be NISMO’s GT500 driver Michael Krumm and Gigawave’s Darren Turner. Though a schedule of events is yet to be released, there is a good chance Nissan will run at Le Mans this June. More when we know more // 03.02.2009
