THE NEW FOCUS RS // UNLEASHED ON EUROPE

Ah yes, yet another car we can’t have. The brains over at Ford have decided that the US market is more likely to consume massive pickup trucks and cross-bred car-suv’s, rather than turbo powered, fuel efficient hatchbacks. Sure, we still get the Focus, but have you seen them lately? Good god, I am truly astonished that they have managed to continue selling them, especially after pics of the Euro-spec Focus RS leaked onto the interwebs. Speaking of the Focus RS, apparently Ford’s new turbo hatch has been officially released onto the European market and the first pics of the production version RS are featured above. Lust worthy? Certainly. Likely to see one on American shores? Doubt it. Until stateside buyers decide hood-louvers and hot hatches are the thing, I assume we’ll continue to see Ford churn out endless variations of their mid-size SUV lineup. Sigh... // 12.11.2008
