We just got word, that the only topless Lamborghini Miura in existence is expected at auction this week. Commissioned by the International Lead and Zinc Research Organization (ILZRO) to showcase the usefulness of lead, zinc and zinc alloys (all of which were used in the roadsters construction), this one-off Miura debuted at the ‘68 Brussels Auto Show and has since become somewhat of an urban legend.
No price has been set, but if we take into consideration the $2,000,000 a Ferrari California Spyder fetched at auction (and they made 106 of those), we can assume the Lamborghini will see at least eight digits... That leads us to the question, what would you pay? // 12.02.2008
