We at ColdTrackDays fancy a well sorted timepiece. A close tie atop our Xmas wishlist (racing shoes, desperately need proper racing shoes), and often the subject of great debate in our office, what a gentleman wears on his wrist can say a lot about him. Form over function, dress watch or utilitarian timepiece, rubber or leather strap, each detail speaks volumes. But when we came across this Panerai built ‘Ferrari California Flyback Chronograph,’ our staff seemed to agree, this is a watch we could get used to.

Known for their superior construction (a favorite of Italian navy commandos), Panerai watches represent everything we’d like our wrist to say. The ‘Flyback Chronograph’ features a 45mm stainless steel casing, is water resistant to 100m, and with a self winding mechanical movement that beats at nearly 29,000 vibrations an hour, it will keep perfect time. Only 400 units will be made, and like the Ferrari it emulates, the Panerai ‘California Flyback Chronograph’ is very much an extension of who you are // 12.09.2009
