Everyone (on the blogosphere) has been talking about Nissan’s ‘V-Spec’ GT-R, scheduled for release later this year. High hopes, higher expectations and an abundance ‘spy shots’ and gossip has flooded the auto blogs since pre-production plans leaked onto the web. But I have to say, we’d prefer this. A ‘Le Mans’ edition GT-R is nothing new, considering Nissan produced a limited run ‘LM’ GT-R in the late 90’s, to honor the Skylines that took part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Powered by a modified version of the GT-R’s 480bhp, 3.8-liter, twin-turbo V6, the ‘LM’ GT-R will see a very limited production run and boast a reported 600bhp! Assuming they follow the lead of their R33 GT-R ‘LM,’ Godzilla will shed some weight, feature a stiffer suspension and an upgraded brake system (is that possible?).
