PERFECTION? // LOTUS EXIGE SPORT CUP 260

Here is where the ColdTrackDays staff is split. Some find the Lotus Exige to be one of the most appealing automobiles available. Simple, fast, handles great, Toyota reliability in a British infused, no frills track machine. What more to want. Others, just don't understand. Why would you want a car that can’t take more than yourself and the significant other? Why would you want a car without carpet? Well, it is obvious they haven’t taken a Lotus around the track, as that would surely change any unfavorable opinions, leaving excess friends on the curb and smiles on their faces. So, what could make the Exige any better? How about loads of carbon fiber and aluminum, taking the forthcoming Exige Sport Cup 260 down to a featherweight 2,000lbs. Add a supercharged, 260bhp, mid-mounted four cylinder, good for 0-60 times of 4.1 seconds and you have a potent mix. Some may prefer this, but I think I’l stick with the Lotus. Comments? // 10.02.2008
