MASERATI MC12 // KING O' THE RING

Lion is to jungle, as Maserati MC12 is to the Nurburgring. A certain unnamed auto enthusiast recently released his collection of supercars on the Nurburgring. A collection which included: one Ferrari Enzo, one Pagani Zonda F Clubsport, one Koenigsegg CCX, one Porsche Carrera GT and of course, one Maserati MC12. Handing the keys over to ALMS driver Marc Basseng for a day of ‘testing,’ our unamed supercar hero was interested to see how each of his toys stacked up. Evo magazine was on hand to capture all the fun, so look or an article in a forthcoming issue. So, what did a day at ‘the ring’ with a multi million dollar stack of cars produce? Well how about a record setting lap time of 7:24.29! That makes the MC12 the fastest production car to lap the ring thus far, besting the recently crowned Viper ACR.
