Set to compete in the 2009 World Series car championship by Renault, the French automaker has just released specs on their forthcoming entry. Powered by a mid-mounted, Nissan/Infiniti sourced, 3.5-liter, 24V, V6, the Megane Trophy is said to make 360bhp and run lap times similar to a Porsche GT3. Additional bits include an FIA-homologated, sports-prototype tubular chassis, a semi-automatic gear box with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters, double wishbone suspension with adjustable dampers and 18-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin racing rubber. Rear drive, mid-mounted V6, loads of downforce, all of which is being sold as an upgradable kit for your pre-existing Megane. We want one // 10.03.2008
